I have a 12 bolt rear out of a parts car that had at one point broken an axle or lost a wheel and drug on the drum and backing plate. The drum had been replaced but there is a nice flat spot worn off of the backing plate. When I change over from the 10 bolt in my car, can the backing plates interchange or will I need to search for another from a 12 bolt? I guess I could avoid the whole thing by swapping to disc brakes though... but I'm a little impatient and want to get that 3.73 posi under the car. Thanks for the help.

They should be Identical.

Yup. They're the same on both the 10 and 12 bolts.
