When I get some money coming in I plan on buying a B&M shifter, then something to rid wheel hop.

What is going to be the best use of money since all 3 of these cost about the same...

Lakewood traction bars
Lakewood No-Hop set
Edelbrock Adj. upper control arms (fix pinion angle since rear is a lil higher than stock)
KYB shocks and ditching airshocks

should be noted the airshocks are not giving me lift, they are just acting as shocks. I let air out until I got tire rub with a 2 passengers in the car.

If the traction bars are likely to stop the hop I'm thinking theyre my best bet assuming they work with a rear sway bar...I do not want to remove my sway bar since I do like my cornering ability as much as my straight line performance.

I think the boxed control arms is the best deal. Both upper and lower and keep the sway bar for sure. Also ditch the air shocks.

Don't forget the braces that triangulate the trailing arms with the uppers.

I have boxed lowers.

Yeah I forgot about those flimsy looking connectors between upper and lower...

I know I need something, if you punch it in 1st from a roll it starts trying to bite and bouncing pretty bad.

I'm just trying to decide which place is going to be the best start, for example if only 1 will almost definately cure the problem I'd rather do that and be done with it so I can spend money elsewhere.

I have SSM lift bars and like them very much. If I recall correctly, SSM went out of business and JEGS is now making them. My latest catalog lists them for $184.99

Boxing the control arms and using adjustable uppers more than likely will set you back a bundle but might not do squat as far as wheel hop is concerned. Jegs SSM Lift Bars will almost definitely get rid of your wheel hop. That is for sure the best bang for your buck. Another option is No-Hop bars from Lakewood or Edelbrock; they'll also do the trick.

i used the lakewood traction bars on my 65` chevelle and they worked good. so good that with my one legger, i had power transfer to both wheels, left some pretty long posi tracks. a friend of mine used the no hop bars and they worked great too. i think i`m going to go with those on my 70`.

Thanks guys!

Looks like I just have to decide between the no hops or traction bars.

Can someone show me a diagram of how the no hops work? I don't get it from looking at them. If i'm guessing right they would not be visable without looking under the car, whereas lift bars would be highly visable and scream "I mean business" which I would rather avoid unless they are just plain more effective and easier to install, and so far it looks like they would be.
