I have an original 66 chevelle 4 spd BB car. I have temp put a small block in the car. Purchased the frame mounts , motor mounts and trans mount for the conversion. Problem now is that the transmission is sitting too high and the drive shaft won't spin over without hitting the floor board. I am using the original crossmember from the BB setup.
Is there a different crossmember used between BB and SB muncie 4 spd?
Thanks for any assistance.

Something's not right. I just pulled a sb out of my BB car to put the original motor back in. Same transmission crossmember and 4 speed.

Did you get too tall a trans mount?

Thanks for the info....I will recheck the the transmission mount, it is an Energy suspension # 3.1108G. OPG in S.Cal said it is the right part.
I did change the transmission to an m22 from a 73 year vehicle. I don't think the tail shaft housings are different but I will check that also.

Why would you put a SB in where a BB goes? Just my opinion but, it just seems wrong? JOHN
