What is the best way to maintain the appearance my new tie-rod ends, idler arms, etc? Gray metal paint? I'm not doing a showroom restoration, but I do prefer the look of bare metal.

I use "Rust Cap" by Rustoleum. I spray some into the can's cap and brush it on. It puts a very thin coat on and no overspray. It has glass beads in it that make it look like cleaned metal.
