does anyone know of a quiet electic fuel pump brand? the one on my car now makes an awfull lot of noise (clicking). the engine is a 307 and the pump was put on because of the infrequent use of the car. maybe i should just put a regular fuel punp back on?

If you are changing pumps anyways, I would put on a mech fuel pump. They make mechanical pumps that will drown your 307. So, fuel starvation wouldn't be a problem.

I use both. Electric to get it primed after sitting, turn it off and go with the mech. Makes for real easy starting. tom

The Mallory pumps are very quiet; much more so than the Holley. I'm using one on my Vette and I like it a lot more than the Holley.

Go with the mechanical, I can leave my car sit for several months and it still starts up fine. The Mallory comp 140 is a quieter electric pump, but it is still very loud compared to the silent mechanical pump.

just put a regular stock fuel pump back on and be done with it.
