Not sure if I posted in the right place but has anyone ever bought a 20 ton shop press from www.homier.com/default.asp?page=categories.asp?dept=1 (http://www.homier.com/default.asp?page=categories.asp?dept=1) click under shop tools they sell for $99.95, they are currently here in town until Sunday. They don't have one on display but the one box was torn and the parts that I saw don't look to bad. I wanted one for bushings, ball joint etc. Has anyone ever seen or used one of these presses?

York, PA huh? Did they ever finish up the add on to the Harley-Davidson plant there?
Anyways, back to your post. I've used the Harbor Freight 20 ton press with great success on pressing out ball joints, bushings etc. You just have to make sure you reinforce the part you are working with as to not allow it to collapse and ruin your part.
I thought the Harbor Freight unit might have been cheaper than that price though. I could be mistaken.

The building is up but they only have certain area's up and running, should be about another month or two and it will be in full operation.
I looked on the harbor freight website and they want $244.99 for the 20 ton press. most of the places I've seen want $200. plus, that's why I was wondering if this one for $100 would get the job done or if it's a peice of junk.
The tool sale is only here until Sunday, so I need to decide if I want to take a chance and buy this one.

That one looks like the HB unit, just a different color. Make sure it has the dies with it. If it was me I would probably take a chance and see how it works.
Its your call. Use common sense and your head to make the decision. Pay close attention to fit/finish, gage metal used and the welds on the structure.
Good luck!
