I have a new lock for my trunk and my old retainer clip, but I cant seem to figure out how the trunck lock rod attaches securly to the lock. It came with a spring and from I gather that should do the trick, but wrapping it around the lock does not seem very secure. Can someone please let me know (pics would even work) how this spring should work, thanks!

You put the spring over the end of the lock. The spring ends hook into a hook on the bottom of the lock case. Then you twist it around and hook in the square notch on the end of the cylinder. Then you slip the end of the shaft under the spring and your done:).Good luck Gary
