guys after I did my brake job last year they have been grabby as hell! especially after it's been sitting for awhile.

Today I finally got around to pulling the drums off and noticed even wear no axle lube leak but the shoes are blackish color with some marbling type cracks and almost polished smooth.

Could this be my grabby problem and what could have caused it???

well the shoes are life time.....Albany brand? never heard of them? There From autozone so I'm going to try another set. I have a feeling Drum was too smooth so I will scuff with some course sand paper and see what happens.

Why not have the drums turned and start with a set of new shoes from a reputable source like Bendix or Wagner??

I picked up some Raybestos shoes yesterday I'm going to try. I had heard from this board and others that Bendix had a problem with grabby brakes specifically on my application. I did have the drums turned already when I did it the first time.

I was think of getting the proper finish on them again before installing.
