What is the difference, if any between 66 chevelle big block springs and 70 chevelle big block springs?????
The a frames are the same so woud the springs be the same too?

Not sure if 70 springs will work or not in a 66, but I know 66 springs will not seat properly in a 70 as they do not have the flattened coil for the upper pocket.

What year is your car?

I have a 70, the A Frames are out from under a 66.
I've checked and the A Frames will fit.
Wouldn't the springs fit as well?

66 springs will not work. The upper pocket is different on your 70.

OK
I am putting A Frames from a 66 on to a 70. The springs that are in those 66 A Frames will not work once under my 70.
Correct?
I hate to sound ignorrant but I need to replace the small block springs that are al ready on it with big block springs, which I got when I bought the 66 A Frames.
Thanks for your help

Correct?
That's right. 66 Springs will not seat properly in the upper pocket on your 70. A-arm pocket is the same through the years. If you use the earlier springs in your 70 they will rub and squeak.

66 springs = no flattened coil for upper pocket
70 springs = flattened coil for upper pocket

At least that's how I understand it.

According to Hollander front springs are interchangable on 64-67 models and 68-72 models. I know the bushing sizes for 64-66 are larger than late 67-72 also.
