I have got a 65 el camino that I am in the process of lowering. Currently, I have springs that have been heated and cut. I am looking to put news, with dropped spindles and disc brake conversion on the front. I want it at a good low stance. no rake, back level with the front. Is it possible to put lowered coils on the front with dropped spindles, or is that too much.

If you have any info on lowering the car, let me know.

thanks

GO for it! Just be careful when you enter/exit driveways, etc.

I have a 65 El Camino with a 72 Chevelle power disc bake setup and Hotchkiss 1" lowering springs. The rear has new original type springs with 1/2 coil cut off to lower it a 1/2".

It gives it a very good rake and stance but doesn't create and clearance problems. I had full length headers and did bump them on speed bumps so I changed to shorty headers and fixed that problem.

If you go any lower with lower coils and drop spindles, I believe you will have some clearance issues. If you go with the B Body disk brake conversion, you will have a 1" drop from the taller lower balljoints. L
