I´m gonna overhaul my suspension. I want to change all bushings, but it´s not easy to get the old ones out. How did you get yours out?

Thanks
Jürgen

I drilled out the rubber bushings then took a hacksaw, put the blade in the bushing hole, connected the blade back to the hacksaw and cut throught the metal bushing housing, then just took a chisel and a hammer a knocked it out. time consumming but saved me from paying someone to press them out, since I didnt have a press.

Just use a torch. Do it outside. They'll catch fire and smoke quite abit. But it is by far the easiest way to get them out.

Thanks. I tried the drill/saw method. I have all out from the rear axle, but I have problems with the front ball joints of the control arms and with the bushings of the upper control arm. How do I get them out?

front lower ball joints need to be pressed out.

yea, what Mike said, you will bust your control arms if you just try to hammer the old ones out, I had these pressed out.

The front lower ball joints can be beat out with a hammer, just put a little muscle in it. You can get all the bushing out with an air chisel.
