I drive a 1972 Chevelle Malibu with a crate 350, HEI ignition, factory AC. Today I noticed that neither of my brake lights is working, and my right running light is also out of commission. The running light may be because of a bad bulb, but when I checked the bulbs they appeared to be okay. Both blinkers and reverse lights work. Does anyone know why my brake lights don't work? I'm at college and I drive this car on an almost-daily basis and I don't really have another way to get around, so any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check adjustment of brake light switch.
Power comes out of the brake light switch (white wire) and goes from there up through the turn signal switch.
The turn signal switch turns OFF the one on which ever side is blinking at he time.
Check for 12 volts at that white wire (after you check the fuse)
ONE taillight not working could be a bad bulb, bad ground or break in the wire.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. Where can I find the brake light switch? And I assume the fuse I'm looking for is in the fusebox, correct?
No, the fuse will be under the right rear passenger's floor mat.
Just kidding-just kidding, yes it is with all the other fuses.
Brake light switch is under the brake pedal, see if you have 12 volts in and 12 volts out.

Haha sorry I just wasn't sure if it would be an inline fuse somewhere or not.
