Help! How do you get the housing end plug out of a power steering box? I've got the directions from the Saginaw power steering reference (http://www.chevelles.com/techref/ftecref29.html) but "remove parts as shown" isn't cutting it for me. I got the retaining ring out but I'm unsure how to get the end plug out without tearing it up.

The end goal it to swap the fast ratio parts into the stock box while rebuilding it. Does anyone see any issues with this plan?

After the snap ring is removed just turn the input shaft and the rack will push the cap out.

Thanks. I tried turning the input shaft last night but the cap didn't seem to budge. It's soaking in WD40 right now so hopefully it will pop out after work. Do you have any idea how much force do you have to apply to the input shaft to get the cap to push out?
