Here are the details.....

78' 2 bolt main 350, block bored .030
gm iron heads ...planed ten thousands polished and mild ported
Mallory valves and heavy duty springs , 1.5 steel rockers
10:1 trw flat top pistons
cast iron crank was re-ground
cam is a comp 292/292 hydraulic flat tappet
double roller chain
melling high volume pump
Holley 3310 750 vac. sec. /Holley trick kit, bowls and body powder coated

Selling complete as you see it... headers, plugs, wires, starter, belts, alternator, steer ing pump, all goes with it !

Motor has 578 driving miles on it , short block professionally built, I did the rest. It's stays in the car till sold so I can take them for a ride ...runs strong but its no BBC.
Nothing at all special about it but I have more than 3.5k tied up in it, what is a realistic number to expect for a complete no headache set up ?

I would say if you got an offer for half of what it cost ...I would take it ..
You can get a low budget complete engine from GM with a warranty for around $1600.00..GOOD LUCK

IMO, that's a lot of cam for an otherwise mild (2 bolt/iron heads/cast crank) small block combo and this will hurt it's resale value.
If you can get $1500 or so...grab it. ;)

Your correct ...too much cam and I wont make that mistake on the new motor. There is alot I don't like about this engine.

Maybe I should part it out??? Hell I have 700 in the carb , just going out and buying all the needed add on's for a $1500 long block will cost a fortune...but I agree nothing here is top end stuff.

Considering your letting all that extra stuff go with it. I'd say if someone could pick it up for $1500 they would be getting a great deal.

Thats a pretty fair deal with the accessories, ignition and exhaust parts.
