I am not sure of the correct or best way to remove the old bushing in my lower rear control arms. I have the rubber out and I'm not sure what to do next. I read in the posts that some cut the shell with a hack saw and collapse it. Is this the best way?
I do have access to a torch and press if these would help me any.
Thanks for any help.

I use a sharp chisel, and a 2 lb hammer and just start caving it in working around the edge. Eventually you break the rust free and the shell will give way.

The big hammer and chisel method worked great. Thanks for the advice.

I used a drill & bit to start drilling the rubber out from between the bushing & the outer shell. I got it in there and it started to remove the rubber. I then used a air chiesel to hammer the outer shell from the arm. Worked great. I then froze my solid bushing for hours and heated the arms and drove them in w/ no troubles.
It really was a piece of cake
Hope that helps.
