Hi, I was just wondering if this is right for adjusting this: Turn the screw fully counterclockwise then turn it clockwise one turn, then tighten while held in place. Is this right? Thanks, Eric

Your description is only the beginning of the adjustment procedure.

You first back off the preload adjuster then turn it in one full turn. You then use a inch-lb torque wrench to measure the torque on the input shaft right over the center of travel. Now, you record that as Reading #1. It is very important that this measurement be made with the gear right on center.

Now you turn the adjuster nut in until the torque to turn the input shaft is 6 to 10 inch-lbs more than Reading #1.

Now tighten the lock nut to 20 ft-lbs while holding the adjuster in place.

The following paper shows the procedure.
