Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a source for sleeving a master cylinder if needed. I bought one on ebay in unknown condition and will rebuild it myself, but I don't know if it is pitted.
Thanks ;)

Not very sure of this, but I recall that Stainless Steel brakes got into the business with sleeved cylinders as its first product. Maybe give them a call and ask if they still do this or who may be doing it now?

I had mine done here:
www.resleeve.com (http://www.resleeve.com)

Seemed to do a good job, it was $65 done in stainless steel.

Well...yeah, you could have that done.

Why? Are you preserving some exotic casting?

A rebuilt and warrantied master cylinder is about $20 at any parts house.

LoneStar Caliper out of Texas also does this type of work. They are now the largest remanufacturer of stainless steel sleeve Corvette calipers. They wholesale to everybody!!

They did a complete rebuild and stainless steel sleeve job on an original "309" 1969 chevelle/Camaro mastercylinder for me. Good job, but expensive at $155.00.
