Are you saying the car does not have a smog system on it now? A 69 325 HP manual transmission car did originally come with a smog setup. Does it have power steering? If you can clarify these items I think people may be able to help. dougjt Feb 3rd, 10, 6:11 PM Yes Thank you, The car has power steering and did have a smog pump but no more. I had a 69 SS 20 years ago 325 hp, man trans ps, and no smog pump but I cant remember how it all went together with the belts and pulleys. I now have basically the same set up but there is no motor in it to reference. I am in the parts gathering stage and hope to get going in the spring. Thanks again Doug Bill Rose Feb 3rd, 10, 6:48 PM If you're not going to put the smog pump on it, I would think you would want to use the same pulley as you would have with smog, but use a shorter belt. Wouldn't you want the same pulley as the 325 hp automatic. That setup didn't have a smog pump.
