I was removing my brake booster and one of the bolts that goes through the fire wall that holds the booster is loose. I was able to remove the nut by holding it in place with a vice grip. Is there another alternative to replace that bolt other than welding it?

I believe you can get to those bolts from the other side of the firewall. Not positive though. I will look when I get to work. I'll let you know man.

If I remember correctly those bolts are lightly welded to the pedal/steering column support. I can't remember if they have a normal bolt head though. I'd think it would be ok to reuse a loose one as long as it's tight again. It's just hard to get a hand on both sides of the firewall at the same time to work it.

two of mine are "through bolted" on my 67. had to enlist the help of the wife to R&R the booster. It is a pain but not the end of the world.
