I have a chance to buy a 1993 700r4 out of a camaro. it has the TV cable. can buy for $100.00 Has 112000 miles. I have a 454 GEN V1 motor that I want to mate it up to. Is this the way to go or should I get a 400 TH Also does a newer trans like this have a mechanical speedo or electronic? Thanks JEFF

I would if it was working when it came out. Probably would even if it wasn't working for the core value.

A later model 700R4 is a lot better than an early model, go for it.

V-6 or V-8 Camaro? You ight get some smiles out of it.....You can go between electric and cable speedos easy enough....No computer shift on 93???

Grab it. It will have the correct valve body configuration since it was out of a Camaro. There are alot of 700R4's and not sure of all the differences but have been warned by a buddy to stick with ones out of camaros or firebirds to be safe. I would go have a quick refresh on it anyway. I am leaning towards that route.

Good point. The V-6 ones, except the 4.3L, have a different bell housing from the V-8. Pretty sure that there was ever a 4.3L V-6 in a Camaro.
