Yes, it's been beat to death. I searched and did not find all the info so here's yet another post.

I do want to keep my front and rear caliper bores proportional. I've already got the brackets for a mid-90s Camaro rear disk setup mounted... but I couldn't find the bore size for those so I wasn't able to do my own math.

I want to run Suburban front calipers just like airrj did. Given the size of the Camaro pistons (whatever that is), would it be better to run the JD7 or not JD7 fronts? (3 5/32" or 2 7/8" pistons)

And with these calipers, should I still be shooting for a 1" bore MC?

I'm in the final stages of installing C5 vette calipers...when all is said and done I should have a road-race worthy brake setup that will outperform a Baer track kit, for about half the cost. The only downside is that the C5 calipers are HUGE, you need at least 17" wheels. But I bought them brand new for $80 apiece from GM Parts Direct. I have some links on my website to Joe Whiles' website on this swap, as well as pics of my own progress.

If your purpose is just to improve braking, but you're not really worried about super high performance, 93-97 fbody brakes are probably a good option, and I've heard other people talk about the suburban swap you mentioned...
