I've search this forum and also PM other members that have the same problem and still no answer, so......
We have 1969 SS's with factory 15/16" front sway bars. We need new bushings. We have ordered from Ground UP and others and I have gone to many local auto parts stores with no luck. Please Help Us!!!
All are either to large (TALL) by about 1/2" at the base (flat part that would touch the frame)when you place the rounded end in the bracket or to small (not enough rubber to fill the bracket). :(
Somebody out there has the answer that will help me and other members.

I had the same problem. Eventually I took a pair of the tall ones (which seemed to be a little narrow, btw) and cut them down with a thin hacksaw. I shaved off about 1/4" cause I wanted it to be a tight fit.

I own a couple of Chevelles one a 68' same setup as your 69'. GM used a couple of brackets over the years with "tabs" (your picture) and without (mine no problem) When all else fails use a universal set up it comes with the bushing and matching bracket. Moog makes one but it comes in the color blue (k8792) NPD also carries a kit with black bushings.

My friend has a band saw and tonight I will preform an operation on said K5241. Just a nip and tuck around the curvey side so the bar will center.

Alot of reproduction and supposed 'oem' replacement parts are increasingly becoming 'modify to fit' it seems.
Here's pics of what my first set of bushings above look like after NOT cutting it, using the OEM tabbed brackets.
Definetly NOT how they're supposed to fit... I suppose all that rubber had to go somewhere!:noway:
