Can someone describe to me what this setup is like? I probably have it on my car. lol I just don't know jack about suspension really.....at least compared to some people. Yes your 71 has a version of 4-link. In a true link set-up the arms would be parallel to the drivline center and there would be a panhard to keep the diff positioned. Good points are they do a good job of allowing independent movement of the wheels in relation to the other side. Bad points, on the chevelle because there is no panhard, the arms are canted to keep the rear-end square, due to this, the suspension , when worked, operates in bind.My wife would kill me--she's an english major and I know there are way too many commas's in that.
