i have a 65 ss and the front end was about 3/4 inch higher on the pass side so i thought i would buy new springs after i put the new springs in it it's still 3/4 higher on the pass side i measured everthing i could think of to make sure nothing is bent but everthing seems to be ok does anyone know if 65's need two different height springs in the front end??? graemlins/clonk.gif

They do not.

Try isolating where the height difference is - is the frame the same height from the ground on each side? What about the lower ball joints - same height? You get the idea.. something, somewhere, is different.. figuring out which it is will point at where the problem is.

yes the frame is higher on the pass side i checked the spring for proper indexing it's in the right place i hate to put spring jacks in the spring if anyone ever had this problem would be nice to know what you did to fix it. graemlins/clonk.gif

check the lower control arm, someone could have changed it with an incorrect one or it could be bent. i believe olds lower arms use a different shaped spring cradle which could be your problem. tom

John
I found that the right rear can have effect on the left front. The left rear can have a effect on the right rear. I found that I had to work on all four to get the 64 correct.
