I am about to press and set my new bushings into the upper and lower control arms. Is there any orientation to these? When I removed them, there did not appear to be anything other than that they were installed. The bushings have a small V shaped stamped out on the collar. I don't think this is an orientaion mark. On my lowers, there was a tack weld / spot weld 180* on either side of each bushing, was this from the factory? I took it off and smoothed it out.

There is NO :noway:orientation on the front control arm bushings. This is the second set I've done on two different cars.
One of my upper arms was tack welded like yours, I ground the tacks off to remove the steel housing. I did notice the steel bushing pressed off easy and though whoever installed these tacked for that reason.
