Sorry I am new to this
Can any of you guys help me?
i just did a rear brake job on my 69.
When I am bleeding the brakes I can never get a good, forceful shot of fluid out of the valve. I dont see any air but the jet of fluid only comes out about an inch or so. The pedal goes just about to the floor when stopping. i have bled the brakes three times now and no change. Is this right or do I need to replace something else

Most likely just need to adjust the rear shoes tighter until there is fair amount of drag as you rotate the wheel/tire to bring the pedal up.

How far down does the parking brake pedal go?

Does your car have disc front brakes? I know on my 70 El Camino SS 396 which has disc front brakes, there is a metering valve that needs to have a pin pushed in on the back of it (pin is facing brake booster) when you bleed the brakes. If not, this pin moves outward when you step on the brake. What I did was use a wedge shaped wood piece to hold it in until I got my brakes all bled out. That metering valve only effects the front brakes though. Just an idea to your possible problem. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
