I recently ordered a set of stainless brake lines from FINE LINES for the new rear end Im building. I noticed that the lines moved the braket for the hose over to the right ( as seen from the rear) one bolt hole on the rear end. The lines cant be reversed because of how they were bent. The connector hose length is 14.25" just like the old one.. but now it wont reach.
Is Fine lines messed up on their pattern?
Can I get a longer rubber connector hose?
Am I the only one with this kind of luck? :rolleyes: :(

I've used a couple of sets on some F*rds I've worked on that sounds like the same problem.
I don't want to name names but lets just say that I wish the "TUBE" was more "INLINE" with the original ;)
Everything was fine until I got to the rear axle. I ended up just using the original lines because they were still OK.
I know that doesn't help you but at least you're not alone.

i got all my fuel and brake lines from Fine Lines.

everything fit just right.

maybe you need to take a break then look at it again, just a thought.

I looked again the lines cant be swapped side for side and the bracket is still too far to the right making the rubber hose too short to fit into the hole in the frame.. I called fine lines today and explained my situation. They offered to make me a custom rubber brake hose 3" longer in exchange for the old one. The guy I talked to said he would have to clear it with the boss tomorrow. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

While that's really cool that they'd do things like that, I'd be really worried about blowing it out when I was out somewhere.. having to get a new one-off hose would be a lot harder than just popping into Autozone and getting a stock one.

I take it they weren't too interested in redoing the hard-lines?

I sent the old hose back.. They will exchange it for a custom length one. I dont know why this happened. I guess I posted it here in case someone else has the same issue.
