Last summer, I bought a Buick Roadmaster Wagon, and with it came a Belltech lowering kit. It included 2" drop spindles for the front, and I believe 1.5" drop springs for the rear. I plan to install disc brakes on the front of my neewly acquired Elco, and was wondering if I could use these spindles. They are of course the same part number as an Impala or Caprice of the same vintage. Any help that any of you could offer for this setup would be great. I hope to post pics of my Elco soon.

Yeah,it' work.
With Custom 91-96 lower ball joints machined to fit your Chevelle lower arm. ~$50

2 members in my local Chevelle club used the stock Caprice Spindles. One put them on a 65 the other a 69. They had to get Camaro rotors, redrilled with new studs, and you have to get the right inner/outer bearing, a 84 Regal outer tie-rods, and longer than stock hoses.

The Beltec drop should really slam it.

Thank you very much. Which caliper did they go with? I got the kit, and wondered what I would do with it, never intending to drop my wagon, and I've had numerous chances to sell the kit. Good thing I kept it. Could anyone post part numbers for bearings? Also, do I need to change the upper control arm? Thanks again for the reply.

These guys both used....offset control arms in the stock upper arm and the Caprice upper ball joint just bolted in.

I think they used 90 Camaro rotors and the Caprice calipers.

1 guy used 2" lowering springs the other hasn't yet finished his frame off.

The lowering springs worked well since the Caprice spindels are taller than stock.
