I have my body off and am rebuilding/replacing the suspension on my '70 Chevelle. The car will be at the track most of the time. It has a 454 with mincie 4 speed, posi. I plan on installing the SSM lift bars which replace the lower control arms to get a better launch. I need to buy springs and am wondering where the best deal/brand is on front and rear 2" lowering springs.... I'm also looking for the best place to buy all my bushings and front end kit, etc..
Thanks ;)

Most lowering springs are short and stiff, bad for weight transfer at the track.

You might be able to go with a taller softer spring that'll still give you the drop you want (some folks use 6 cylinder springs) and be better for weight transfer. Not sure what will give you a good drop, though. The downside to the soft springs is the rist of bottoming out and having the front end pop up any time you touch the gas. smile.gif

Maybe ask in Performance if you don't get much info here.

I went with a poly graphite front end kit from PST. Very happy with it.
