total front end rebuild. steering colume, steering gear, bushings, front springs, tie rod ends and sleevs, ball joints, etc. etc. ect. this is a P/S 67. there is a hard spot in the wheel to the left and right of straight. about 1/4 turn of the wheel.. once you get past it its free. could this be a burr on the steering worm in the (new rebuilt) gear box? any ideas how to trouble shoot this? the front end has not been aligned yet. thanks Dave

Definitly a box issue. Could be a bad bearing to a bent pitman shaft. If you just put it in,return it and get another. You have to remember"Rebuilts are done by the cheapest bidder, not always the best."

Also check to make sure the tie rod sleeve bolts aren't hitting the sway bar
