I just finished putting in a PST poly super frontend kit along with replacing the rear control arm bushings and new KYB shocks in front and rear as well as stock replacement springs on the rear and 2 inch drop springs on the front of my 66 chevelle. My problem is the front passanger side tire rubs when if I have to make a tight turn. It does not rub on driver side though. Also, it rides about a quarter to half inch lower on the passanger side. Did I install the springs wrong? I think I have them right. Also the drop ended up being like 4-5 inches in front. I must have had big block springs on or something because I gave the specs of my motor etc to Coil Spring Specialties and had them custom made for a 2 inch drop but it is way more than that. Well anyway anyone have any ideas? Also, is there a way I can lift that side? Maybe some way to raise the spring a little or something?

With respect to your tire rubbing on one side and not the other -- Is your steering gear right on center when you are driving straight down the road? If your gear isn't centered, you might have more travel in one direction than the ohter. That might explain why one side rubs and the other doesn't.
This link will take you to a paper that I wrote that describes the procedure for centering your gear.

Is it the frame that sits lower on one side or just the body? Did you have the front end off when you did all this work? Just a thought but it could be the core support is not shimmed even side to side.

Measure the frame height at all 4 corners and see if the body or frame is sitting low. If it is the frame...did you do work to the rear? If the R/R spring is sagged it will cause the R/F corner to also be low.

Ok here is the latest. If I make tight turns it actually rubs on both front tires when I turn their direction now that I went out and turned sharp both ways. The right fender does sit about 1/4 to 3/8 inch lower on the front passanger side though. I will go measure at the frame and check that. Also I did put new bushings in the rear uppers and lowers as well as replace the rear springs with stock ride height springs.

If you dropped that car 5",you probably wouldn't be able to turn it at all. 5" is a huge amount.
Can you post a photo?
