Well....getting closer to actually a thing that could be called a car. Every day a new fun discovery.... not..Yesterday the shop that is redoing the seats called to let me know the rear seat that I got with my 68 chevelle is actually a rear seat for a 55 Belair..........:D What the ...

I have found locally a 70 rear sear from a Monte... I have searched the previous forums and can not confirm......

Thanks for your help.

No.
The 70 Monte seat is narrower, than your 68.

I wonder if you could use the monte carlo panels with the armrests and make the thing work that way. jim

I don't know if I'll be any help but yes, the Monte Carlos seat is narrower. Although, Ive come come across a 68 SS manual floorshift/bench seat car with an interior from I don't know what A-body. The interior was obviously not chevelle and the back seat was like those from a 70-72 chevelles or Monte Carlos(narrow with the same spacer type arm rests. . I'm personally building two 68's n have two spare back seats. One is from a 68 cutlass which the backrest apperas to be the the but a different seat bottom. The other is from one of my 68's. Seat bottom is good but backrest frame is broken due to rust.
