I am in need of a 70 lower control arm. Does anyone make them anymore or are there any supply houses that have some still available? If not what are my options.

I appreciate the help.

Front or rear?

No one makes the stock type front arms. There are a few manufacturers of tubular arms now and lots of folks are getting rid of their originals for fairly cheap.

Check the for sale section.

If you are looking for a rear lower control arm, I have one. I recently replaced mine with some aftermarket ones because on of the originals was bent, but the other one is fine. If you need it you can have it for the price of shipping.

Tim and WV, thanks for the info. I probably would be interested in switching to the tubular arms but do you have to buy the upper and lower kit or can you just buy the lowers? I only need the lowers or would it not be worth it?

Also, what advantage do you get with the tubular arms?

Where do I buy them?

Thanks,

John

Are we talking front or rear?

www.fatmanfab.com (http://www.fatmanfab.com) sells lowers (don't know if you can get them seperatly or not)

And www.globalwest.net (http://www.globalwest.net) has them that you can get seperatly.

If you're talking about rear arms, you can defintaly get lowers seperatly from many manufacturers. Edelbrock, Globalwest, BMR, etc...

They are very beneficial in the rear to stiffen the suspension.

In the front, tubular arms are less a performance upgrade, I think. Stock arms are prone to breaking around the ball joint so new arms are definatly a good thing to have if you can afford to get them. Maybe thay are also stiffer and lighter, I don't know.
