If I remember right, the theory was to remove ANY deflection out of the suspension components.

Rubber or Poly provide some "cushy-ness" (??) and isolation between the suspension and frame, dampening road shock to the chassis, but maintaining reasonable alignment (poly more-so than rubber).

The aluminum bushings become a sacrificial part, and essentially direct connect the suspension to the frame. There is NO give whatsoever, and all road shock is transmitted directly through the suspension arms / mounts to the frame. The weakest part WILL fail. From what I've heard using aluminum bushings is just asking for a lot of broken parts.

Anyone else??

i have a set on my 68, i got them with a the car, the guy i bought the car from had a lot of old drag race parts with the car. they help eliminate wheel hop and have grease zerks on them. so far absolutly no wheel hop and helps the car hook up. i have new stock springs all around and sensatrac shocks. i would think poly bushing would be better than the old stock rubber.

thats it, they take out deflection. do not use these on the street. you will stress your frame amd suspension mounts. and most definitely do not use them in the rear unless you have piviting upper control arms, the uppers must be allowed to turn slightly to prevent major binding.

HOW DO THEY WORK  Their good for about a year if just driven at the track. I made a set years ago to go along with the upper control arm shafts I made from 304 SS. I then made a set from brass and they lasted about 5 yrs. I now have a good ole set of stock rubber ones.
