Looking for one for my 66 , I realize MP Brakes sells these but looking for another supplier ...early this year one of the mags had an article on a shop in Calif (I think), that custom built boosters specific to your application, very detailled info on boosters etc wish I could find the mag again :( , anyone know of this article or shop ???
Bill
I bought my dual diaphram for my 64 from ABS Power Brake in Orange Calif. (So Calf)
714 771 6549
FAx 714 771 7329
They do a lot of specialety work. They have a big display of MC and PB at there location.
They told me my booster was from a ford almost. It's almost 9" in diameter, but it a Delco Moraine unit normaly GM.
The next time I asked it was from a Toyota. They really don't want to tell you.
Any local rebuilder should be able to help you.
I don't know the diameter but the following came with single or dual diaphram:
1978,79,80 Chevelle, Monte Carlo,
1978-79 El Camino
I have a dual 8" from MP Brakes, if you are interested. I converted to hydroboost. The booster is like new. I used it while my car was going from place to place to get restored... I am still working on the car...
Email me,
Theo.
