I got a set of pistons and rods that I was told were ZL1 or L88. In my book they don't match. It says the piston # is GM 3959105. The pistons I have are GM 3947886 which I can't find any listing for. Does anyone know what appilcation these are for.

ZL1 & L88 pistons were of floating pin design. do they have a groove to hold a retainer?
One is the part number, and the other is the identification (casting) number, see link below.

Standard bore 4.250 , hi dome full floaters but does not the normal snap ring. The ring that holes the pin in does not have the 2 small holes . Found the TRW # on the inside looks like 2399 which looks like a 454 ,9.09-1/118 but these pistons have like a .585" dome. Like a 12-1 comp.
