Got all the stuff for teh 11" rear drum conversion but I have a question about the parking brake brackets... i was at the junkyard last weekend and seeing as how late 70's cars are getting harder to find I saw a 89 caprice wagon there with 11" rear brakes... now on that wagon the parking brake cable on the drivers side come out of the back side (car) of the backing plate while on the other side (passenger) the parking brake cable is looped around the rearend and comes out of the front of the backing plate... my question is on earlier cars do the parking brake cables come out of the same place on the backing plate like my 65 chevelle does or do i need to get a different parking brake cable and brackets

The early cars are the same as your 65. If you bought the stuff from the caprice wagon, go back and get the backing plate and parking cables.

Also if I remember correctly on those Caprice's the drivers cable goes in from the front and the pass. cable goes in from the back.
