YOu have several places to get that info! Do a search in this forum for disk brakes. Or, go to the start page for Team Chevelle and look at the left side menus. There is one called "Tech Reference" that has some articles on disk brake conversions. Here is the normal "short Spindle" conversion address:
http://www.chevelles.com/techref/ftecref3.html
There is another one for "Tall Spindle" conversions which uses brakes from cars other than 68-72 GM "A" body cars. There are lots of choices.

Heres a quick list.Single piston disc brakes from any GM midsize car 68 to 72 should be a direct swap.GM midsize cars are called A-body in GM speak.
Chevy - Chevelle -malibu-El Camino -
Pontiac - LeMans - GTO -Tempast
Olds - Cutlass - 442
Buick - Skylark - Gran Sport
Also the wagon versions of any of these cars.
This list is nowhere near complete i'm sure there are more. The problem is most of these cars are long gone and parts are getting scarce.Nowadays its a rarity to find one in a junkyard that hasn,t been completely picked over. Some specialty yards are out that carry collecter cars.
HTH, happy hunting. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

You'll also find many, many pages on the 'net on conversions done by different people in different ways.
Take a look at the older posts with the search function and make up your mind when you have looked at the information available.
As always, it may be cheaper, easier, and safer if you can save up and get a kit from the various suppliers.
Good luck with your project!

The idea of using "70-81 camaro" parts does not sound right to me. I think that the early camaro and nova parts will work, but from 73(??) onward the parts changed I think. The early (68-72) disk brakes used bolt-on caliper brackets and I suspect that all (not too sure here) the 1973 and newer had the caliper bracket cast integral with the spindle. Also, the tapered holes for the ball joints changed, too. As suggested, a search will get you to posts where this stuff is discussed in detail.

2nd gen F-body brakes are a "tall spindle" swap but without the benefit of the 12" rotors that the B-bodies have.
If you're going with the tall spindles, spend a little extra for the 12" brakes.
