I am currently running 255/60/15s on all four corners with Wheel Vintiques 50 Series SS396 8" Wheels with 4.5" backspace on my 1971 SS. I just got 2 M&H Racemaster Cheater Slicks (275/60/15) for the rear for when I take it to the track. I want to purchase another set of WV 50 Series SS396 Wheels to mount these on. I have room on the rear so i'm pretty sure the 8" & 4.5" backspace of the Series 50 SS396 wheel will fit with these slicks....

Any thoughts or anyone running a similar tire that can confirm the 4.5" backspace will be ok?

i have some torque thrust 2's on my 70 model with a 4-1/2 b/space with 275x60 m/t drag radials and they clear fine.....

275/60-15 , 15X8 with 4.5 backspacing.
