What do you all think of these heat wraps that wrap around your starters to protect them from header heat like this one that Summit offers.
Thanks , Gene

I think they're a good idea - but I use the type you cut that has adhesive on one side, and stick it directly on the starter. Been doing that for years.

I use this one from summit as well. I like the velcro, you can really snugg those wraps up..

It is also important to get heat sleeves for the wires going to the starter. Overheated wires (big cable) can cause slow cranking, or the dreaded solenoid click (small wire, 12g purple)

I found a roll of some 2 inch wide DEI header wrap I was going to use on something on a dusty shelf in my garage so I wraped my hi torque mini starter with some of it.
Had on a shelf so I thought i'd give it a try ?????????
