hi, i am looking at buying a 67 ss, it was an original 396 4 speed car, it is complete but the date code on the motor is from a 69. it is in need of a body off resto to be in show room condition but could be a decent daily driver with a splash and dash paint job. i am in canada, the guy wants 15,000. what do you folks think of that price, estimates of about 30,000 to complete the body off resto is what i have been told. any imput is appriciated, thanks and chevelles rule! :hurray:

Need more info in order to give you a good answer. First things first - are you sure it's an SS? 138 VIN? Next, what kind of shape is the body in? Need quarters, rockers, fenders, trunk, and floors, or just a little bodywork and paint job? Interior in good shape? What options - P/S, P/B, etc? What is it missing? Have you been underneath the car to check out the frame and floors? Original color combo (interior and exterior)? Current color combo?

Also, is $15,000 CDN or US?
