I bought a front disc conversion for a chevelle that has everything but the master cylinder. I have a 76 and a 77 nova sitting around with power disc brakes and was wondering if the masters for them would work. Thanks

Seems to me like I remember them using the 18M500 MC's with the reversed layout on the reservoirs (front brakes to the rear res. and rear brakes to the rear res.).

For sure though you'll need to make sure you have the correct MC bore and that it has the correct deep or shallow pushrod hole for your application. But yes, it will physically bolt on.

Im pretty new with brakes, at least I dont know anything about master cylinders. So what bore do I measure. You mention the push rod hole, isnt there two holes in your brake pedal for that. Thanks

MO. Joe was talking about the hole in the rear of the M/C. The following link might be of help to you regarding this http://www.mpbrakes.com/findmasteracc.htm Be sure to click the sublink to "manual .. "

The hole in the brake pedal depends on :
lower : power brakes
upper : manual brakes

Hope this helps.
