Hey Guys and Girls,

Some of you that know me well, know my wife works with Autistic children as a Doctor in Clinical Psychology. Autism now affects 1 out of 99 kids born today. As you can imagine, it has been a huge part of our lives, and I've always wanted to somehow do my part to help.

In collaboration with our Open House, we are throwing a "Benefit Car Show" on February 20th, right at our new shop in Corona, CA! All proceeds will be donated to the TACA organization. (www.TACAnow.org (http://www.TACAnow.org))

There is a $20 dollar donation per car, which includes:



Food provided by our neighbors at Hunny's Cafe (Burger/Sandwich, fries, and a drink)
A raffle ticket (and we have some KILLER raffle prizes), and
Your registration for the show.


Additional raffle tickets can be purchased for $5ea. Again all proceeds go towards TACA.

There will also be trophies. (See attached flyer).
The show is open to all American made or powered cars.

Thanks to our sponsors, we will be raffling a set of 17" Wheels, a set of Nitto tires, and a set of Fesler Billet hood hinges as well as many other little tid bits.

Bonspeed Brad loaded us up with some killer new wheels on display, and is planning to be in attendance with a car or two. We are also offering 20% off Bonspeed Wheels up to the day of the show!

Forgeline sent out some killer new wheels as well, and we have them available now here in our showroom for everyone to see.

Wilwood may even come out to be on display.

Other companies such as, Schott, Currie, American Racing, Vintage Wheel Works, will all be involved, or on display at the show.

We are expecting, and have the room to accommodate up to 300 cars so come on out and support a really good cause!

although my car isn't show quality, it is american made and powered but I would have shown up regardless for the cause.

I will be there. Can walk from my house. My Chevelle is not ready due to finances....:sad:

I really wanted to make it to this show. However my car is a few months away from being running and driveable. And unfortunately I'm about 98% sure I will be out of town that day, so I can't even make it to the show. :(

... if the surf sucks... I'll show .. :-)

Do you have engough parking lot to set up a slalom?

Can we pay the registration for the raffle ticket even with we don't enter a car?

I really planned on bringing my 71 but another snowball project has started. I wanted to change the weatherstripping, then decided to change out the window felts, which had me rewiring the power windows, which led to new door panels, then new seats, then new carpet, then floor pan work:( So basically, my car is in pieces now:sad:

But I still wanna go and will probably be there with my gf cuz she wants to use her new camera:D

So who all is for sure going to this? My plans tomorrow got canceled, so I might go down...but not in the Chevelle.

I'm planning to come down between 10-12 in the am. If it rains I will be taking the other car with ABS haha

I'm not sure if everyone in socal was trying to make it to the show. It sure seemed that way due to the crazy traffic! I left Pasadena at 10. I arrived in the Chino Hills area 45 mins later and was in and out of fwy and local traffic for the next 2hrs! It was ridiculous. I haven't seen traffic that bad in a long time. Even Ontario Blvd was bumper to bumper.

I had to be back in LA before 2pm otherwise I would have seen many of you guys including Tim and his doggies :). The worse part was that when I decided I needed to turn back (already on Ontario Blvd) it still took me and additional 30 mins to jump back on the fwy. Wow.. i'm exhausted...

The good news was I got to really drive the 66 thru stop and go traffic and it held up pretty well. Didn't see the temp gauge go past 190-200 at all the whole way. Even got a few thumbs up.

hope to see some pics of what I missed!

Sorry you didn't make it to the show! I met Tad and he said it took him 2 hours to go 20 miles. I know it took me a long time to get there too. There was an accident on the 15 freeway and it was all screwed up. Not a big deal, when I get the Chevelle going I'll for sure meet up with yah for some coffee...or a beer. :)

i made it out there with the family pretty early in the day. had to leave early since i was only taking a partial off at work. sorry i missed all you guys. and the traffic did suck!

Thanks to everyone who braved the weather, and the horrendous traffic that day. Three accidents between us and Orange County that morning, including one fatality. What a nightmare!

We are talking about organizing a cruise night in June, and taking a drive up around Lake Matthews, and back down to our shop. Its a 10 mile drive around the lake, and back down to our shop, some nice curvy roads, and we'll finish it off with a BBQ smoke out at our shop. What do you all say???
