Is it a per year thing? Or luck of the draw when it comes to getting a short vs long pushrod mc? I went to four different retail stores looking for a short pushrod mc for my 69. Eveything I've come up with requires a long pushrod.

Rather than go to the boneyard and pull a long pushrod, is there a year that is known to use the short pushrod?

The best I could come up with was that BOP's used the short one, and Chevy's used the long one.

I have an original '69GTO MC that is short, an original '70 442 that is short ... and an original '69Camaro that is long.

When I went to Advance Auto and asked for BOP replacements I got short one's ... and when I asked for Chevy replacements I got long one's.

See if that helps.
Thanks, Neal

Went thru different years at the parts counter. 71 matched the shape and short rod of the unit that was in my car. Thinking I may try your BOP plan next and maybe get the correct looking mc for my 69.

Thanks!
