I was wondering if 3.73 is the lowest you can go with a 4series eaton posi carrier? I would like to go with a 3.55 gear.

4 Series 3.90 and up

Thats what i thought. I just bought it 3yrs ago new because mine went out. Now i want to goto 3.55 gears and i guess i'm stuck with the 4.10's

just curious what gear i should go with in my chevelle, its a 402 motor .30 over and m21 trans and stock 331 gear in it now so whats best 4.11 or 4.56 gears cause i dont want to have real high rpm its around 3000 at 60 mph and if anyone knows around what rpm i might be running with them a lower gear please share with me thanks

If you don't want real high rpm's, than stick with the 3.31's. Changing to 4.11's or 4.56's would add 600-1000 rpms at highway speeds compared to the gears you are running now.

Darren is right, nothing more than a 3.73 for the 4 series.
