Im in the process of updating the drum brakes on my 65 and have a few questions.
1) What are your ideas on metalic linings? Ive thought about installing them on the front.

2) What should I look for in brake fluid? I drive my Chevelle back and forth to work so Traffic can be heavy (stop and go).

3) Are there finned drums that slip on in place of the stock drums?

Thank you for your valued input. graemlins/beers.gif

I'd ditch the single recviour master and get a master for a dual setup (68-72 Chevelle, or GM A-Body). You need the distribution block from a donor car too, as yours is just a bass "T".

If that brakes fail on that single reseviour system, all brakes fail no matter what your rear drums are.

You can use 11" rear backing plates and drums from the heavier wagons, but rear brakes only are like 20-30% of total braking.
