Im looking for some speaker kick panels for my 69 elco, found some at the el camino store but dont look that good. Just looking for suggestions on were to get them or were you guys have installed speakers in the elco. I know a lot of people build a box for the back but im also looking to put speakers in the front. thanks any pics would be good.

I do... However, I am removing the kick panels and replacing them with new ones (I am re-doing the interior).

The guy before me has 4/6 speakers in the kick-panel (he did a good job installing them)
That said, he had to cut out of the original kickpanel and place the speaker inside ( I can show you pics if you like)

I am getting new kickpanels and I haven't decided if I am going to have speakers in them or not or place them inside the door.

But would like to see how modified original kick panels look.

I put a pair of Sony X-plode 4"x6" behind the factory sheet metal perforated speaker covers and it sounds fine and looks factory. Just another idea.

Here's a pic of the kick panels in my 69 SS. Speaker size is 4x6. Has factory installed stereo wiring under the carpet.

Don't think the El Cam could be ordered with factory kick panel speakers? Never saw one with them. (I'm probably wrong.)The stereo radio would probably require four speakers. Standard radio had speakers under the windshield in center of dash.
