I just bought some eibach springs for my 71 sbc chevelle, no air. They are eibach springs from summit racing. The guy i bought them from cut one coil off the front springs cause he had them in his BB 72 chevelle. Im guessing this is going to be about a 3 inch drop when i put them in my small block 71, does that sound right. Also should i replace my shocks(will my stock shocks let me drop that much). IF i need shocks, what should i get, lowering shocks, or are they the same. Im new to the suspension world. Im just wondering how my velle is gonna look dropped in the front, and high in the back. I think you are probably right wit the 3" drop. The springs are designed for 1.3" drop without the cut coil. Probably will drop another inch or so becuase of the cut coil. Shocks will depend on what you want to do with the car. Just a street driver, drag strip, open track events. I'm really liking the QA1 shocks for the 12 way adjustability. Will let you dial the ride in to where you like it.
