: How much is this worth?

I have just recently removed a disc brake set-up from a Caprice. I have the entire spindle assembly (spindle, rotor, caliper, dust shield and all) with the booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve. The valve is a combo with the proportioning valve, metering valve, and electrical connection all in one. I thought this valve was only available in '71 and later, but I was told the car was a '69(Any idea on this?). The pads will need replaced and the rotors turned, but everything else should be okay. Any ideas as to how much this is worth, or what I can get for it? Thx in advance!

I've been thinking about this, but I don't really have any hard numbers. I would guess it's probably worth around $250 or $300, but that's totally a guess. The completeness of the setup would be a MAJOR selling point on it.

Are you looking to put it on your Chevelle, or just turn it over? There's got to be a B-body site out there with this info.

Have you tried surfing E-bay to see if they have any for sale and price? You could search completed auctions and see what has sold in the past.

$5... I'm mailing you a check now! :D

Seriously, $300 is probably a good number based on generic used ebay pieces

I'm looking to sell all of it. I was just curious about what to ask. Thanks for the input guys!

They don't have nearly the demand as the chevelle ones do. I've bought and sold chevelle setups (complete) for anywhere between $150-250.

If its off a '69, it'll fit any '65-70 B-body without any problems. I'm not sure about 71s, but I think they had the 5 on 5" bolt circle.

Do some research on 58-64 impala, bel air, biscayne, disc brake swaps. I believe it'll fit these years too if you put the right spindle on the left and the left on the right. This might be the easiest market to sell it in if this is true.

I would say $200 would be a pretty easy sale. $300 might be possible, but take a while to get. A lot of 69-70 B-body cars had discs, so they're not that hard to find. My brother has parted out 4 of these cars. All 4 had 12-bolts and 3 had front discs. Another '70 he sold as a roller he took the 12-bolt and discs off and put the drums and 10-bolt on from a '68 he parted smile.gif

So, just so I get my facts straight- these front disc will NOT fit a Chevelle. Only '65-70 B-body cars. Not much of a find then huh? Will the rearend fit Chevelles though? Thanks again to everyone!!!

Will the rearend fit Chevelles though?NO... Different suspension setup (different brackets, no upper ears on housing as needed for a Chevelle) and wider than the Chevelle setup...

IF it was a Positraction rearend, then the posi carrier will swap into a Chevelle, but the rear would need to be the same style (12-bolt, 10-bolt, etc), but those posi's are only ~$300 for a Brand New Eaton setup anyway, so used would be much less...
