I bought a reman AC Delco '68 Corvette 1 1/8" bore master cylinder (power four wheel disc application) and it didn't come with a gasket or rubber boot (that slips on the back). Do I need these items?

Thanks!

bump. Now, I know some of you here have put a master cylinder on before. Fess up :D

Please, share your expertise ;)

Do I need a gasket between the MC flange and firewall?

Do I need a rubber boot off the back of the MC?

Thanks!

If you are thalking about between the master cylinder and the brake booster. There is no gasket or boot that I know of. The only boot is between the Brake booster and the firewall.

-No gasket between the firewall and MC flange as far as i know
-As far as the boot, i bought a '70 vette MC and the boot from my 66 velle cylinder fit right on, so i cant help ya much there..maybe try PST (www.p-s-t.com) or maybe Gorund Up or Year One.
